Today, the London-based artist Sans Soucis releases her second EP, which includes three divine songs ‘Make One From A Two’, ‘Red’ and title-track ‘Unfinished’. Having already reviewed ‘Make One From A Two’ when we first introduced you to the Italo-Congolese singer and songwriter, we’re taking this space to tell you about ‘Unfinished’. Opening with the isolated recording of a heartbeat, the song is a delicate exploration for love and by extension is dedicated to the brave souls who endeavour to explore the complexities of that emotion. The first minute sets the scene of nostalgia, each carefully chosen item and moment coming into sharp focus, while the rest of the details fade into obscurity. Sans Soucis paints this picture with her intricate and purposeful vocals over a plucked acoustic guitar, while moments of orchestral surrender sweep in from the side, adding further drama to this half-told story.
